It happened on a Monday night, I had just got home from work, it had been a tiring day, I just wanted to take a long shower and go to bed. I always take my phone into the bathroom because I like scrolling through social media and reading the news. As I went on to take my shower, I left my phone on the sink like I always do. I heard the message notification, but I didn’t bother looking at it, little did I know that what I was about to see would change my point of view when it comes to friendship, life, and people in general.

I’m not trying to be dramatic or anything like that, I don’t get hurt easily, and I tend to trust the people I surround myself with, but you know what? People are unbelievably unpredictable. I don’t want to generalize it by saying “People” I’m just trying to emphasize that even when you think someone you trust and love would never hurt you, you are wrong, it could be friends or whoever.

We had been friends for almost two years, it wasn’t a month, and even if it was, she didn’t have the right to say what she said. You know the feeling when you lose someone you love? Family members, partners, etc..? That feeling of incapacity that makes you feel like you will never be the same again, I was feeling that but worse…
